Product Description

Caret Down

benaGene™ Lozenges deliver thermally stabilized oxaloacetate in a raspberry-lime lozenge you let dissolve under the tongue. They are made for adults who want an on-the-go boost of the same oxaloacetate formula used in benaGene capsules.

Oxaloacetate is a natural part of the Krebs cycle, the pathway cells use to turn food into ATP, and it helps keep the NAD+/NADH balance inside cells in a healthy range. benaGene's thermally stabilized form is designed to stay stable at room temperature so it can be taken as a supplement.

Place one lozenge under the tongue for 5 minutes, then chew and swallow. Each bottle holds 30 lozenges. The formula is vegan, gluten-free, and keto-friendly. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Keep cool and dry.

  • Per lozenge: 100 mg oxaloacetate; 80 mg vitamin C.
  • Supports: Cellular energy, mental clarity, and steady day-to-day stamina.
  • How to use: Under the tongue for 5 minutes, then chew and swallow.
  • Other ingredients: Calcium carbonate, dicalcium phosphate, stevia extract, vegetable stearic acid, ascorbyl palmitate.
  • Flavor: Raspberry-lime; 30 lozenges per bottle.
  • Pairs with: Oxaloacetate CFS capsules from the same maker.

Dietary supplement. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

How it helps those with Long COVID

Caret Down

Fatigue and brain fog are the symptoms people with long COVID mention most. benaGene Lozenges give a smaller, portable serving of oxaloacetate that can be taken without water during the day, for example before a task that needs focus. They can be used on their own or alongside oxaloacetate capsules, with guidance from a clinician. Individual experiences vary.

Scientific Explanation

Caret Down

Oxaloacetate is a four-carbon intermediate of the Krebs (citric acid) cycle. It combines with acetyl-CoA to form citrate, the first step of the cycle that feeds electrons to the mitochondrial respiratory chain for ATP production. Oxaloacetate is also converted to malate by malate dehydrogenase, a reaction that oxidizes NADH to NAD+ and so shifts the cytosolic NAD+/NADH ratio. Free oxaloacetate breaks down quickly at room temperature, so supplements use a thermally stabilized form. These mechanisms describe normal metabolism and do not establish a treatment effect for any disease.
