Product Description

Caret Down

PlasmalogenN3™ is an omega-3 (DHA) plasmalogen precursor in softgels, made for adults who want daily support for mental clarity, focus, and healthy nerve cell membranes.

Plasmalogens are phospholipids concentrated in brain gray matter, neurons, and other high-energy tissues, where they help keep cell membranes flexible and support normal cell signaling. PlasmalogenN3™ supplies DHA-based building blocks the body can use in its own plasmalogen pathways. It is the new name for the ProdromeNeuro™ softgel formula.

The usual serving is 2 softgels a day, and Prodrome recommends taking them in the morning. Choose the 60-softgel bottle (about one month at the usual serving) or the 180-softgel bottle for longer use. Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place.

How it helps those with Long COVID

Caret Down

Many people living with long COVID describe brain fog, slower thinking, and low day-to-day energy. PlasmalogenN3 is used by adults who want nutritional support for the cell membranes that brain and nerve cells rely on. It supplies DHA plasmalogen precursors the body can use in its normal membrane-building pathways, alongside sleep, nutrition, pacing, and guidance from a clinician. Individual experiences vary.

Scientific Explanation

Caret Down

Plasmalogens are ether phospholipids with a vinyl-ether bond at the sn-1 position. They make up a large share of the phospholipids in brain gray matter, myelin, and heart muscle, where they influence membrane fluidity, vesicle fusion at synapses, and protection of membrane lipids from oxidation. Plasmalogen synthesis begins in peroxisomes, and tissue and blood levels tend to fall with age and during oxidative stress. DHA-containing plasmalogen precursors can enter the synthesis pathway after the peroxisomal steps and be built into membrane phospholipids. These mechanisms describe normal membrane biochemistry and do not establish a treatment effect for any disease.
