Product Description

Caret Down

ProdromeGlia™ is an omega-9 plasmalogen precursor in softgels, made for adults who want daily nutritional support for calm focus and the protective membranes around nerve cells. This listing is the 180-softgel bottle, about three months at the usual serving.

Plasmalogens are phospholipids found in high amounts in brain white matter and myelin, the insulating layer around nerve fibers, and in the heart. Oleic acid (omega-9) plasmalogens are especially common in glial cells, which support and insulate neurons. ProdromeGlia™ supplies omega-9 plasmalogen precursors the body can use in its own membrane-building pathways.

The usual serving is 2 softgels a day, and Prodrome recommends taking them in the evening. Free of milk, fish, egg, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, yeast, gluten, and soy. Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place.

  • Type: Omega-9 plasmalogen precursor softgels.

How it helps those with Long COVID

Caret Down

Long COVID can leave people feeling wired and tired at once, with brain fog and a nervous system that is slow to settle. ProdromeGlia is used by adults who want nutritional support for the membranes of glial cells and myelin, the tissues that insulate and steady nerve signaling. Prodrome suggests evening use. It fits alongside sleep, pacing, and guidance from a clinician. Individual experiences vary.

Scientific Explanation

Caret Down

Plasmalogens are ether phospholipids that are especially abundant in myelin, where ethanolamine plasmalogens can make up most of the membrane's ethanolamine phospholipids. Plasmalogens with oleic acid (18:1, omega-9) at the sn-2 position are common in glial cells and white matter, and they contribute to membrane packing, insulation, and resistance to lipid oxidation. Synthesis starts in peroxisomes; alkylglycerol precursors can enter the pathway after those steps and be built into membrane plasmalogens. These mechanisms describe normal membrane biochemistry and do not establish a treatment effect for any disease.
